ERRATA

The current revision of this product has holes too tight to use with rectangular shaped headers. The product was designed for round headers, however many customers are using it with rectangular type. It's possible to push the headers inside, but it requires quite a bit of force.

We have been looking for a workaround to be able to use the adapter with rectangular headers and found two:

  • If you have a carbide drill-bit #65~67 (see picture #1 bellow), you can insert it carefully into each hole with turning motion. It should go with minimum force (#65 will need slightly higher force than #67). Then carefully pull it out without allowing it to turn.
  • If you do not have 65~67 bits, but have regular common general purpose bits (e.g. for hanging pictures on the drywall). Take smaller bit (e.g 3/32), make sure it's sharp enough, and twist it in each hole. This will expand a hole entry to a cone-like shape (see picture #3 below). Now push a rectangular pin inside and turn it left and right several times.

WARNING: Make sure you dispose the laminate dust properly, it can be dangerous to your health if it gets to your food!
