Improvements over UNO R3

Arduino was developed as open hardware that allows anyone to develop based on provided schematic and Arduino software tools. This module is based on Arduino UNO R3 with following improvements:

  • Optional integrated male header pins placed side by side with pin female headers, to facilitate connections with other modules via female cable type.
  • Dedicated USB-to-Serial chip using CH340T that supports full USB 2.0 connection and it's supported by Win7/8 directly (may need to connect to Windows Update when connected first time).
  • Slightly increased spacing between pin 7 and 6 (the non 0.1in spacing was a design mistake on original Arduino and has been kept for compatibility reasons). DCcduino increased the spacing enough to be able to insert 0.1in header across pins 7/8 and still accept original Arduino shields.
